Willie Nelson, Paul Simon And More Set For New Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concert
A star-studded lineup, including Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor, have signed on for the new Hurricane Harvey benefit concert, “Harvey Can't Mess With Texas,” taking place September 22nd at Austin's Frank Erwin Center.
The show, which promises “exclusive performances and rare collaborations," will also feature Leon Bridges, Lyle Lovett, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, with Matthew McConaughey, Dan Rather, Renee Zellweger and Luke Wilson also taking part in the event.
The concert will air on 11 Texas channels, with YouTube also airing an hour-long live stream. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Rebuild Texas Fund, with a Google pledging to match donations up to $500,000.
