Marietta Transfer Company is hosting the 1st Annual Truck Show. We are raising money for the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County in memory of Gene Davis.
My Dad, Gene Davis, founded the Marietta Transfer Company 24 years ago. Dad was a generous and giving person and a loyal supporter of the Boys & Girls Club. I remember whenever a child was selling something for a fundraiser, Dad would always buy it, whether he liked the product or not. Whenever kids would come into the office, he would always dig in his change jar so they could get something from the vending machines. At Christmas, Dad would ask the employees to not get him anything—he asked that they pick a needy family and make a child happy for Christmas. My Dad was one of a kind and a very giving soul who loved to see children smiling and hearing their laughter. We wish to continue his loyal service to children in need and to the Boys and Girls Club through our Truck Show fundraiser.
